Cabinet Refacing

So, you  know that your kitchen needs work. The third drawer from the bottom  has a broken slide, the cabinet doors below the sink don't close all the way, and  the finish on the cabinets is worn off and tired-looking. Besides, golden oak isn't the  color of choice these days. 

So where do you start?  If a fresh new look  is all you need, then you'll find the process simple and easy. 

Cabinet refacing (also known as cabinet resurfacing) is a great alternative to  completely gutting your kitchen. With refacing, rather than demolishing  your old cabinets, backsplash, countertops and building entirely new  cabinets we: 

Remove, and dispose of, your old doors, drawer fronts, drawer boxes and crown/trim molding.

Reface  your existing cabinet frames with real wood veneer or professionally spray-painting your cabinet frames to match  the new solid wood or thermofoil doors.  You also have the option of painting the cabinet frames  yourself, to match the new doors/drawers, to save money.

Install new crown/trim molding if necessary.

Install new drawer boxes with soft-closing drawer slides if necessary.

Install  new doors with soft-closing hidden hinges and new drawer fronts in a new door style and color of your choice. There are hundreds of possible combinations. 

Install new knobs or handles, roll-out shelves, tilt-out trays,  Lazy Susan’s or other accessories depending on your needs or budget. 

The cabinets below are refaced and painted. The upgraded features were soft closing hinges, pullout trays, replaced rotten bottom cabinets, painted green and added hardware.

The cabinets below are before and after of a full kitchen refacing and remodel to add functionality for a smoother flow in the kitchen. Crown mounding added to the top of cabinets gives this kitchen a grand look. The backsplash that goes up to the ceiling makes it look classy, new lighting, appliances, countertops hardware and fresh paints makes this kitchen look brand new.
